Chess Set

The body of each piece was designed using CAD software and CNC machined from brass or aluminum. The tops, bolted on with brass or aluminum screws, were hand fabricated using steel wire and silver solder. They range in height from 1.75 to 3.5 inches. The 10 inch square board was also designed using CAD and CNC machined from a 1/2 inch piece of aluminum. It has a raised second layer made from steel wire and brass sheet that gives the board a checker pattern.
